Das Bayerische Militär war im Deutschen Reich nicht in die durchnummerierte Zählweise miteingebunden. Es hatte eine eigene Nummerierung. Zur Unterscheidung gegenüber den anderen Einheiten des Reiches wurde ihnen das KB (Königlich Bayerisch) oder das Kgl. Bayer. vorangestellt.
