Garnison und Unterstellung 1914

Formationsgeschichte

  • Res.-Inf.-Rgt. 70 aufgestellt in Bitsch (Stab., I. Btl.) und Saargemünd (II. Bataillon). Ende November 1914 wurde das Ers.-Btl./L.I.R.Nr. 99 das III. Bataillon dieses Regiments.
  • 02.08.1914 [1] : Das Reserve-Regiment wurde gemäß Mobilmachungsplan mobilisiert.
  • 12.09.1916 [2]: Das IV. Bataillon wurde II./Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 417

Feldzüge, Gefechte, usw.

  • R.I.R.70 Hauptreserve Straßburg (Feste Kaiser Wilhelm II., Abteilung Ferling) unterstellt der 301. Infanterie-Division (Ostfront: Sept. 1916 - Jan. 1917; Westfront: Jan. 1917 - Nov. 1918).
