Formationsgeschichte

  • Res.-Inf.-Rgt. Nr.26 aufgestellt in Magdeburg (Stab & III. Btl.), Stendal (I. Btl.) und Burg (II. Bataillon). Ersatz-Bataillon RIR26 aufgestellt in Zerbst.
  • 02.08.1914 [1] : Das Reserve-Regiment wurde gemäß Mobilmachungsplan mobilisiert. Neben dem ins Feld rückende Regiment wurde ein Ersatz-Bataillon und ein Rekruten-Depot aufgestellt.
  • 01.10.1916[2]: Das Regiment gibt die 12. Kompanie zur Aufstellung des Infanterie-Regiments Nr. 426 ab.
